This policy describes how Gift Trade Direct collects, uses, and protects information from visitors to gifttradedirect.com.
Last updated: May 3, 2026. We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
What we collect
We operate a content-only website. We do not require accounts, do not host user-generated content, and do not sell products directly. Information we receive is limited to:
- Server logs. Standard web server logs including IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, referrer URL, and timestamp. Used for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis. Logs are retained for 90 days and are not shared with third parties.
- Email correspondence. When you email us, we receive your email address and message content. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and maintain a reasonable record of the correspondence.
- Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to our list, we collect your email address and the date of signup. We use this information only to send you the editorial newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter — this permanently removes your address from our list.
What we don't collect
- We do not require user accounts or store passwords.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.
- We do not run advertising networks on this site.
- We do not use third-party tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or behavioral targeting.
- We do not track visitors across other websites.
Cookies and analytics
Gift Trade Direct does not set tracking cookies on visitors. The site does not currently use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics. Aggregate traffic patterns are observed through standard web server logs only.
If we add functionality in the future that requires cookies (such as a login system) or analytics tooling, we will update this policy in advance and provide cookie-consent controls where required by applicable law.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding personal information we hold about you, including:
- The right to know what personal information we hold about you
- The right to receive a copy of that information
- The right to correct information that is inaccurate

To exercise any of these rights, email office@gifttradedirect.com from the email address the request relates to (or, for newsletter subscribers, from the subscribed address). We will respond within 30 days.
Residents of the European Union, United Kingdom, and California have specific statutory rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA respectively. We honor those rights. If you believe we have not addressed a request properly, residents of the EU/UK have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority; California residents may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency.
Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:
- Server logs: 90 days, then automatically deleted.
- Email correspondence: as long as the matter requires plus a reasonable archive period (typically up to three years).
- Newsletter subscriber data: until you unsubscribe, after which your email address is removed from the active list within 30 days.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party links
This site contains links to external websites operated by third parties — brand websites, trade show organizers, news sources, industry associations, and similar. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. When you follow a link to an external site, that site's privacy policy applies, not ours.
Children
This site is intended for business users in the wholesale gift industry. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Material changes will be flagged on the site for a reasonable period.
